
Our UK web design team became involved with Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club towards the end of 2006, and several months later began work on a new look for their popular website.
The time had come for a change and the management team were keen to ditch the rigidity of the old website design for something a little younger and sexier. Our designers came up with a number of concepts which successfully adhered to this idea and which incorporated the club’s new online music player and gave greater emphasis to the club’s forthcoming shows.
The new series of designs offered fluidity and colour in place of austerity and inflexibility, and provided a clearer, more focused sales paths for users. In an echo of the wealth of famous photography which graces the club’s walls, our designers integrated a living photo gallery into the design to pay tribute to performers past and present.
The final iteration is cool and sexy, a quality inspired by its dark and sultry colour scheme and intensified by the soft curving shapes which dominate its uppermost sections. In addition to offering a number of significant visual enhancements, the new design also allows for major changes in content without any negative impact to the design.
The new website has been very well received by both artists, jazz fans and staff.
